If you have a 2014 Dodge Charger and your Car was broken into and someone smashed the passenger window and the back passenger window getting price quotes for replacement glass might be a little confusing here’s why. The Dodge Charger can come equipped with Laminated or Tempered Glass. The laminated parts you will find are a little more expensive. The part numbers listed below are for the Dodge Charger. The passenger front door glass comes laminated and non laminated. Mopar is the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the 2014 Dodge Charger passenger front and passenger rear door glass. Below we did some research on the costs associated with replacing these two windows
DD11925 Mopar Laminated Part with Acoustic Interlayer
DD12113 Aftermarket Part Laminated Replacement Glass
DD11927 Mopar
How to determine if you have a laminated part?
Tempered gets shattered and laminated does not get shattered have to put back in the vehicle what was in the vehicle.
$265 including mobile service before tax if you pay cash some shops may offer a discount
Dealer Brand Glass often referred to as “Dealer Glass” “OE” “Original Glass” “Factory Parts” is the Mopar Glass and can be $200-$300 per part or more usually then aftermarket replacement glass.
When we were quoted the OEM Glass was a $200 dollar difference on the front door coming to $465 for the front door to be replaced with mobile service before tax.
The Back Window we were quoted $225 for aftermarket installed $100 more for OE or Mopar Brand Glass so $325 for the back window. The Total we were quoted was $790.00 plus tax. We were quoted a discount if we paid with cash. The cash price quoted was $425 for the Front OE and $325 for the rear passenger door glass so $750
Estimated time to clean up the existing glass, installation of new window, and adjustment of the window is 2 hours.

If you are not sure which options your vehicle has there’s a few ways we can help you out. The Vin number or vehicle identification number is usually the best way to help us determine what glass replacement part option you have. The vehicle identification number does not include a glass part indication in the 17 character vin code however it does help us determine which parts are specific to your Vehicle.
The factory build sheet is the silver bullet to determining the exact options however finding that can be difficult. Most glass companies can help decode the vin and determine the part however some companies do not ask and may instead ask you to take pictures and send pictures to them to help determine what you have. Another way to find out what options you have on your Vehicle is to contact the local Dealership and speak to the parts department.
They will ask you for your vin and then they should be able to tell you what options your Vehicle has. If you call the dealer make sure to ask them for the Dealer Part Number (If they are willing to provide you with that). Each Dealership is privately owned. Some dealerships are part of a dealership group however some have policies that don’t allow them to give the customer the dealer part number or factory part number. The dealer part number will help the auto glass shop match the part needed for replacing the windshield on your vehicle.
Once you have the dealer part number/factory part number you can also use google to find other dealerships that might have your windshield available and even at a lower price. In situations where the vehicle is brand new the glass may not be available to the local auto glass shop or parts supplier so the dealership may be your only recourse.
Other Questions to Ask Auto Glass Shops when getting quotes.
Here are some questions you should be asking as a consumer to help you compare price quotes from different service providers.
Questions to ask how long is your warranty?
What does your warranty cover?
Does your price include tax?
Does your price include mobile service?
Does your price include glass disposal fees?
Will you provide a pre-scan and post scan printout upon completion of the calibration?
Most quotes will be for windshield replacements using “ARG” or “OEE” Aftermarket Replacement Glass and Original Equipment Equivalent
*If you are getting a windshield replacement make sure not to wash your car for 48 hours
